You can also connect with the WiFi password or share WiFi details using the QR code in the My Sky app, allowing you to set up your devices real easy. The hub comes with a phone adapter for internet calls (VOIP) and an Ethernet cable.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. Have done diagnostic test s and told broadband is OK to the house. This had happened after I’d tried the Windows Trouble Shooting and it had suggested running in Compatability Mode.

Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router.If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. Don’t unplug or switch off your router while it resets. Once you’ve signed in, you’ll then be given the option to enter a unique code to link your account with. Once this is completed, you’ll then be presented with the sign in screen.

Also other users have reported that port-forwarding does not work reliably. However, the interface in the app is not fit for purpose. The user-interface of the Gigafast+ hub is seriously deficient. Has anyone else noticed that their WiFi is slower and not as reliable since the introduction of the latest WiFi from sky?

I have deleted and installed the app, I have deleted the app and waited over night and it still just opens, looks for updates and closes down. Btw sky, I also paid to remove ads but uou don’t remove do you? Set the DNS to the Gateway addess and the hub will forward the requests to Sky’s DNS. @Angelica1974 if you set your device to get the details from the router you do not need these details but Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router.

Urgent: Unauthorized Payment on Sky Account Linked…

There are a multitude of chains about the issue of Sky Go not loading on laptops and just ‘hanging’ at the start screen. To get more help on the forum, why not use the search bar at the top to search for questions already asked and answered by other Community users? I am looking to join sky for broadband and TV but the options are bewildering to me.  I’d like to speak to a real person at sky on the phone for some help in choosing the best package for me but can’t find a telephone number. Sky’s advice is to run this Gigafast+ hub (XER10) as the main router and to configure your own mesh system as access points. Accessing the hub from a browser you will see 888starz that “for simplicity” the “advanced features” of the hub are not available and that any configuration should be done via the MySky app.

Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.If you are on Sky Broadband with the new Sky Max router then you need to connect it as if it is a 3rd party router.If you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band. First reset your broadband router.If on Sky broadband hold the Reset on the back of the router until the power light flashes green (about 10 seconds). When I unchecked the box pressed Apply then reloaded the app it had gone back to display the app across the full screen.
